As LTE gains momentum globally, service providers in Latin America are eager to capitalize on the opportunity to deliver wireless broadband services. Both the availability and allocation of spectrum suited to LTE and spectrum caps remain stumbling blocks for operators in Latin America. While multiple nations in the region have plans to allocate both residual 3G spectrum and new spectrum suited to LTE, delays in allocation processes are also hindering the regional LTE deployment outlook
