Israeli cell phone service provider Partner Communications Co. said Thursday it has withdrawn its offer to buy MIRS Communications Ltd., a Motorola Inc. subsidiary located in Israel. Partner, which did not disclose the amount of its bid, said discussions with Motorola for the wireless service provider have ended. In a statement, it did not say why it has pulled out of the offer. The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday. Shares fell 15 cents to $18.67 in afternoon trading. Motorola shares fell 15 cents to $8.44. |
